One of the biggest highlights for us this year is definitely the German Trade Convention, which is already in the starting blocks and in which we are set to participate for the first time not just in one but in three capacities: as a sponsor, as an exhibitor and with a presentation held by CEO Dominik Brokelmann.

THE CONNECTED STORE AT THE GERMAN TRADE CONVENTION

The German Trade Convention is, like every year, an opportunity for the German retail trade and its partners to meet. Events on the 18th and 19th November in the Maritim Hotel Berlin will centre on the wide-ranging convention and trade fair program, in which we are represented as a sponsor, exhibitor and with a speaker slot. On the second day of the convention, CEO Dominik Brokelmann will give a presentation on the topic “More successful than online only - the Local Hero” as part of practical forum no. 6: The power of small and medium-sized organizations: winning concepts and strategies from small and medium sized entreprises.  His talk will also cover the connected store as it has been implemented in the mobile phone branch.

The connected store connects the internet with brick and mortar retailers, combining the advantages of online and offline retail trade with its multimedia catalog system, digital signage and online shop window. Our stand will naturally also display the concept as a whole.

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SPECIALIST AUDIENCE

Together with us, a number of national and international speakers and approximately 50 selected partners to the retail trade will participate in the German Trade Convention. Leading politicians such as Angela Merkel, Sigmar Gabriel and Günther H. Oettinger will attend, discussing the challenges currently faced by the German retail sector and the measures the German government can take to support the branch. Josef Sanktjohanser, president of the German Trade Association, will also be there and is due to visit our stand before the Convention is officially declared open.
