ENSURING A SMOOTH TRANSITION TO ALL-IP

Deutsche Telekom is continuing with its planned complete transition of its network to All-IP technology. Accordingly, we at Brodos have included into our product range the models from the Gigaset GO range, which are made to cope with both current and future technology. This allows a seamless transition from analogue to IP-based telephony.

What does All-IP mean?

Unlike other types of connection, in the case of the IP (internet protocol)-based connection, all channels (telephoning, surfing, mailing, faxing, watching TV) use the internet. This concept is rapidly being put into place for telephone connections, where the so-called Voice over IP (“internet telephony”) has been gaining ground for quite some time now, whilst virtually no new analogue or ISDN connections are being made, and are set to disappear in the foreseeable future.

Here you can see a comparison of the various types of connection, analogue, hybrid and IP. An IP connection offers the most convenience, with 2 simultaneous conversations and 6 different phone numbers:

Thanks to the new GO feature, Gigaset GO landline phones are perfectly equipped to cope with the imminent landline transition to an IP-based connection. They offer landline and internet telephony fit for the future, together with cloud-based services and Gigaset apps for connecting to iOS and Android smartphones.

With the extended Gigaset elements and apps, Gigaset GO telephones also provide private customers with online services the like of which have previously only been available in the professional sector. It is possible to use the cordless handset to dial numbers from a public telephone book or to have the name of the caller shown as clear text for incoming calls. Further information services can be used as a screensaver or live ticker on the cordless handset. As soon as a Gigaset GO telephone can access the internet, it automatically registers with the Gigaset server and offers users the option of telephoning free of charge with other Gigaset GO end devices throughout the world which are also registered with the Gigaset server.
